1월 25일부터 San Jose State University 봄학기가 시작합니다. 이번 학기부터는 컴퓨터 대학원 학생들을 가르칩니다.
Cryptography and Computer Security 라는 과목인데 IPSec/ZFW with Cisco Packet Tracer, Crypto basics, Symmetric key cryptography, Public key cryptography, Cryptographic hash function, Authentication, Authorization, Network security basics, Simple authentication protocols, Real-world security protocols, Software flaws and malware, Additional software security topics. Additionally, Post-Quantum Cryptography, DDos, VPN, PKI, Wireless, SSL, Smart Card, Cloud Computing Security, IoT Security, Military Security, Bitcoin, Routers and Switches Security, Common Criteria, Mobility Security, Malware/Phishing/Dark Web,3rd Party Risk, Brand/Reputation Protection, Executive Protection, Threat Intelligence Feeds, Cyber Awareness Safety, Threat Intelligence Management, Deep Packet Inspection, Deep Packet Processing, iOS Security, Android Security, Dark Web, iPhone Jailbreaking, Credit Card Skimming, KRACK Attack, iOS Security, Stuxnet, WannaCry Attack, Metamorphic Code and Metric-Based Detection, 등을 가르칩니다.

북한에서 한밤중에 방송하는 난수방송 해독, 새 그림 속에 숨어 있는 비밀 메세지, 제가 켜는 바이올린 선율에 숨은 비밀 메세지, 1942년 2차대전 당시 독일군 잠수함들이 주고 받던 암호 해독, 양자 컴퓨터 암호, iPhone hacking 하는 방법, Software Reverse Engineering, Cloud Computing Security, IoT Security, Military Security, Bitcoin, Google, Apple, Cisco, Facebook 등에 가서 노예처럼 일하지 말고 새로운 아이디어로 창업하는 방법, 등등 엄청난 양의 보안 정보를 다루는 과목입니다. 시험도 많고 숙제도 엄청 많습니다. 그외에 Project 들만 3개 이상을 해야 겨우 학점을 얻는 과목입니다.
지난번 4학년 학생들은 San Jose State University, 컴퓨터 학과 생긴 이래로 이렇게 어려운 과목은 처음 봤다고 하면서 교수님께 많이 배웠다고 고마워 했습니다. 그래도 제가 성적은 잘 주는 편입니다. 이 과목 A 받으려면 IQ 가 최소한 162는 되야 합니다.
저도 이제 나이들어 대학에서 강의하는 것이 제일 편한 것 같습니다.
